Simona De Silvestro 10"x15" Metal Print

In 2007, as a rookie in the Atlantic Championship, De Silvestro earned two top-10 results and scored championship points in nine of 12 races en route to 19th in the point standings with Walker Racing and followed that up in 2008 when she earned eight top-10 finishes, including her very first win at Long Beach for the Late Paul Newman's outfit, Newman-Wachs Racing. In 2009 De Silvestro picked up her game and stunned the North American open-wheel world. She would go on to win 4 races in dominant fashion with Team Stargate Worlds. In addition to her wins she also earned 4 pole positions and an extraordinary 9 podium finishes in the 2009 Atlantic Championship Season. Her success was not only impressive but it was also record breaking. De Silvestro was the first woman in series history to have earned the most wins, pole positions, and led the most laps all in a single season. At the end of the season De Silvestro also had an extraordinary 9 podium finishes. The results of her effort led to her finishing the season in 3rd place, proving to observers that she is on par to becoming open wheel racing's next shining star.

Our Photographic Process

The first step in creating a metal print is to print a digital image on special paper called a transfer, with eight different colored inks, actually called sublimation dyes, which have a translucent quality that gives the images a three-dimensional look and feel. Next we place a blank metal sheet on the transfer and using a large heat press, applying a ton of pressure for about two minutes at 400° Fahrenheit. Under this heat and pressure, the sublimation dyes turn into a gas and are sublimated into the special coating on the aluminum. At this point we have a metal print, and after it cools, it then goes to our in house “Framing Gallery”, where it is trimmed to size, framed or mounted depending on the order. Then, the last step is to carefully wrap and package your metal print into one of our shipping boxes, specially designed and engineered to protect the metal print during shipment, so all you have to do when the print arrives, is hang it on the wall and enjoy.

Our in house "Framing Gallery" is always experimenting with new frame designs and innovative ways to mount and display your “High Definition” metal prints. From our simple box mount to the museum quality "Shadow Frame", you will find a frame or mount that meets all of your individual requirements. The Shadow Frame was designed exclusively for framing metal prints and is available with a brushed black or silver finish.
