Ayrton Senna 10.5"x20" Metal Print

Ayrton Senna Da Silva blitzed the British national racing scene when he arrived from Brazil in 1981, winning just about everything in FF1600 then doing the same in 1982 in FF2000 and again in 1983 in F3. His memorable races with Martin Brundle that season included a number of somewhat dubious examples of race-craft and in general Senna was from that point on known to be extremely ruthless when dealing with opponents...

His debut season in F1 for Toleman quickly led to a drive with JPS Lotus and a first GP win in Portugal in 1985. He stayed with Lotus for two more years but the team was already heading downhill at this point and so he signed for McLaren for 1988. He won the title for McLaren-Honda in the last year of Turbo F1 rules and then clashed with teammate Prost in 1989.

The pair collided when Prost blatantly drove Senna off the road at the final race in Suzuka - and won the title as a result. Senna got even in 1990 with an even more blatant move at the first corner of the final round... and he won the title. One more title followed in 1991 and at the end of 1992 when McLaren had already been without it's beloved Honda engines for a season, Senna signed for Williams only to die in well known and tragic circumstances at the third race in Imola. Smyle Media Photo

Our Photographic Process

The first step in creating a metal print is to print a digital image on special paper called a transfer, with eight different colored inks, actually called sublimation dyes, which have a translucent quality that gives the images a three-dimensional look and feel. Next we place a blank metal sheet on the transfer and using a large heat press, applying a ton of pressure for about two minutes at 400° Fahrenheit. Under this heat and pressure, the sublimation dyes turn into a gas and are sublimated into the special coating on the aluminum. At this point we have a metal print, and after it cools, it then goes to our in house “Framing Gallery”, where it is trimmed to size, framed or mounted depending on the order. Then, the last step is to carefully wrap and package your metal print into one of our shipping boxes, specially designed and engineered to protect the metal print during shipment, so all you have to do when the print arrives, is hang it on the wall and enjoy.

Frames & Mounts

Our in house "Framing Gallery" is always experimenting with new frame designs and innovative ways to mount and display your “High Definition” metal prints. From our simple box mount to the museum quality "Shadow Frame", you will find a frame or mount that meets all of your individual requirements. The Shadow Frame was designed exclusively for framing metal prints and is available with a brushed black or silver finish.

- Brilliant luminescent images

- Durable archival prints without glass

- Ultra-Hard scratch-resistant surface

The reflective light properties of our metal prints combined with our translucent dyes makes our images look and feel three dimensional with a depth of field that is truly amazing. This evolution in digital printing is unparalleled in producing the most vivid colors, with crisp-sharp detail.
